Made with Nickernut seeds and silvery beads hand cast from recycled aluminum tin cans these small, lightweight earrings are a uniquely organic accessory. Natural grey tones in the seeds play well with most colours, and look especially dramatic with neutrals. A beautiful testament to sustainable, ethical fashion.
These earrings are often mistaken as being made with stones. The stone-like nickernut seeds, however, are much lighter than they appear.
I carefully drill the holes in each seed to make the earrings, no other treatment is made to them. Small imperfections may be found in the aluminum beads from the hand-casting methods used. This adds to the beauty and uniqueness of the earrings.
Hooks are hypoallergenic, rubber backings are included.
Each earring will vary in size and shape because each seed and aluminum bead is unique.
