These garlands are a unique spin on the wood bead garlands currently seen in home decor trends. Garlands are made with end loops which can be used to hang on the wall, or lain decoratively throughout the home.
These Seed Garlands are handmade using the Nickernut seed in its natural state. I have drilled small holes through each seed in order to string them onto the cording. Nickernuts are a type of drift seed that grows on shrubs in tropical regions. They have a hard, smooth outer shell that has a dark grey, sometimes greenish hue. Each seed is approximately 2cm (3/4") in diameter.
Notes:
Please do not ingest or put in mouth as Nickernuts have an extremely bitter taste.
It is best not to get Nickernuts wet once their shell has been punctured, as it may begin to warp. Not to worry, they will not sprout.

Large - 135cm / 53"
Each size can be ordered with aluminum bead* accents or without.
