Made from pennies, these copper earrings make a striking up-cycled, zero waste fashion statement. I have hammered discontinued Canadian Pennies and sanded them to a shiny finish. Each is completed with a surgical steel ear post and silicone backing.
Care: Copper can oxidize over time with exposure to the air. To bring back the shine rub a mixture of 1 tablespoon of table salt and 1 cup of white vinegar onto the copper with a soft cloth and rinse. Be careful of the backing when cleaning as it can be delicate.
