Distaff & Spindle hosted its 3rd bi-annual sale this last weekend. This year we hosted in a bigger venue with a larger audience and presentation. It was a lovely evening thanks mostly to all the help i received from a woman exceptionally skilled at staging stock and putting on a classy event!
The entrance tableau: baskets, star ornaments, tableware, recycled t-shirt blankets (sold out), metal-ware.
Most of the baskets, metal olive trays, candle sticks and ornaments are still available for purchase.
Hanging window ornaments, made with AluMada stars, seeds, shells and beads found in Madagascar, reportedly looked lovely from outside the window. Sold Out!
Many of the baskets are still available.
Hand carved Nativity Scenes made with Ebony, Rosewood, Palissandre and Fanajava wood.
1 Ebony, 1 light wood (Fanajava) still available. Small wood bowls hand carved also available.
Girls smocked dresses, baskets, still available.
Baskets still available. Many silk scarves available.
We had tables set for 60 people, most places full for the presentation. Many more came afterwards. I’d say there were about 70+ people who came through? It felt like so few, but i recognize that this is largely in part to the fact that we hosted this year in a much larger venue than in previous years (2013 and 2011 at my mom’s house) and therefore it didn’t feel cramped at all, which was really nice. There was a lot of space to spread out all the stock.
